Sri Parashakthi Kshetra, Madyar - Madyar, located around 1Kms from Mangalore Home Stay, is a transcendent land sanctified by divine sannidhyas. The temple spread over a vast area of above 4.5 acres and is a symbol of universal brotherhood and spiritual resurgence.

Bekal Fort - Located in Kasargod, the Bekal fort, which is of great historical and archaeological interest, is the largest and best preserved of its kind in Kasargod district and the land on which it is situated, runs into the sea with fine a bay towards the south. The huge laterite stones cling the fort walls so snugly that it would seem that Bekal Fort originated out of a seaside cliff.

Sri Someshwara Temple - This historial temple located near Someshwar beach is within walkable distance from Mangalore Home Stay. It is an old temple situated on a huge rock dedicated to Lord Shiva. It is adorned with beautiful sculptures. One can also see the ruins of the fort built by Queen Abbakka of Ullal around Somanatheshwara temple.

Nature & Wildlife at Coorg - Coorg or Kodagu is famous for the coffee estates and the terrain is blessed with excellent nature trail and wildlife. Situated on the banks of River Kaveri, the Dubare elephant camp introduces you to the various aspects of this awe-inspiring animal. Dubare is also home to a variety of birds like partridges, woodpeckers, kingfishers and many more.

Dharmasthala: This temple village is about a hour and a half drive from Mangalore Home Stay. Pilgrims from different parts of the country throng this temple in thousands throughout the year. The temple is devoted to Shiva and the principal object of worship is the linga. Dharmasthala is a temple village with many attractions and is located on the banks of the Nethravathi River.

Sringeri: Situated in the Western Ghats on the banks of the river Tungabhadra, Sringeri is the seat of spirituality established by Adi Shankara in the Eighth century. The reigning deity Sharadamba, consort of Lord Brahma, epitomises supreme knowledge. She is seated on top of the Sri Chakra consecrated by Adi Shankara who established four maths to carry forth his teachings ó Sringeri in the south, Puri in the east, Dwaraka in the west and Joshir Math Badri in the north.

Mysore: Mysore is famous for the festivities that take place during the Dasara festival when the city receives a large number of tourists. Known as the cultural capital of Karnataka, Mysore boasts of Royal Palaces, Temples and a Zoo. The Dasara festivities, which are celebrated over a ten-day period attract people from all over the world. The Dasara procession during which an idol of the Goddess Chamundeshwari is placed on a golden mantapa on the back of a decorated elephant and taken on a procession, accompanied by tableaux, dance groups, music bands, decorated elephants, horses and camels is witnessed by thousands.

Belur and Halebidu: These two temple towns are located within 16Kms of distance from each other in Hassan district. The main attraction in Belur is the Chennakesava temple complex which contains the Chennakesava Temple (dedicated to Chennakeshava, meaning handsome Vishnu) as the centre piece, surrounded by the Kappe Chennigraya temple built by Shantaladevi, queen of king Vishnuvardhana. Halebidu is home to one of the best examples of Hoysala architecture in the ornate Hoysaleswara and Kedareswara temples.
